Government Women's Polytechnic College, Indore, also listed as Indore Women's Polytechnic College, is a state government polytechnic at Rajendra Nagar near A.B. Road, founded in 1993 to bring technical education to women students of the region. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and the Department of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. The college runs four three-year full-time diploma programmes in Architecture and Interior Design, Computer Science and Engineering, Fashion Technology and Hotel Management and Catering Technology, supported by a faculty of about eight, which gives students close individual attention. The library stocks textbooks and reference material across all four disciplines and the college maintains a Drawing Lab, Material Lab, Basic Lab, Hardware and Networking Lab, ADT Lab, Stitching Lab and Computer Lab. A girls hostel with a capacity of 109 students provides mess and a common hall, and the campus also has first aid facilities, football, basketball and tennis courts and parking. Admission is through the Madhya Pradesh Pre Polytechnic Test followed by online DTE counselling.
