Shri Vaishnav Polytechnic College is a government-aided polytechnic in Indore established in 1962 by the Shri Vaishnav Sahayak Kapda Market Technical Education (SVSKMTE) Society. It occupies a 17-acre urban campus in the city and is one of the older technical education institutions of the Malwa region. The college is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education and is affiliated to the Department of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh and to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. It offers diploma, post-diploma and certificate programmes across engineering and technology disciplines, providing a route into technician-level employment as well as lateral entry into B.E. programmes. Admission to diploma courses is through the Madhya Pradesh Pre Polytechnic Test (MPPET) conducted by MP Vyapam, followed by DTE counselling. Because it is a government-aided institution, its fee structure is significantly lower than that of private polytechnics in the city.
